Mia is a Los Angeles-based director and producer whose work explores identity, mental health, and the complexities of growing up in multicultural environments. With a passion for psychological thrillers, horror, and coming-of-age stories, she focuses on emotionally layered characters—often young women—navigating anxiety, depression, and cultural tension. Mia holds a BFA in Film Production from the University of British Columbia and an MFA in Directing from Chapman University’s Dodge College. Known for her collaborative approach, she creates grounded, character-driven work that resonates long after the credits roll.
Mia is the CEO of AIM8, where she’s produced a range of projects including the vertical drama I Can Never Be Yours for ShortsMax, a leading vertical streaming platform. Alongside her directing work, she frequently serves as a producer and assistant director on vertical series, commercials, and indie films across Southern California. With a background in both storytelling and production management, Mia brings ambitious, meaningful projects to life—offering lasting entertainment and authentic representation for underrepresented audiences.
